Our Weekend in photos

Does this look normal?

He's saying "hi" from below!

Enjoying an ice cold beverage pool side!

Someone got in trouble and has to sit in time out!

Throw me higher Daddy!

Daddy couldn't throw him as high!

Then we went tubing out on the river!

We also took most of the day to float in the sun!

So this is how I spent my weekend.  The grandest thing of all is that we never left our neighborhood.  Sometimes you have to say to yourself:  Life is rough!!!

OMG, Puberty, is going to kill me

I swear my son is driving me nuts. He is complaining and throwing a fit over absolutely everthing.  I guess I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon in life.  He just turned 11 back in May.  He uses this awful whining voice and stomps his feet like a child.   I sometimes wonder if he knows what he looks like when he is doing this.  Even though it is extremely annoying it is also funny at the same time.  I really am thinking about video taping him so he can see just how awesome annoying he is!!!

I think I'm going to pull all of my hair out when he is screeching this high pitched noise!  And yes, it is that bad.  So I'm going to have to say that I think I prefer toddlers to this.  The more they grow up the more agravating they get.

I guess that's why my photo in the sidebar suits me so well.

This is also the way that I see myself on a daily basis.  I am going to crack down on all of this nonsense!

Here Coochy, Coochy!

I know it seems like an odd post to write about but I just couldn't help myself.  I just had to let anyone who reads this to know how I feel.

Recently, I purchased some Coochy Shaving Creme from my girlfriend who sells Pure Romance.  She has a large stock of products that have the old packaging she wanted to get rid off so she can order the new product label.  So I thought this was my chance to give it a try.

I am not one who enjoys getting new "toys" for the bedroom so I was checking out all of the things that weren't for that.  So my friend, Danielle, mentioned the Coochy Shaving Creme.  So I ordered it and not only is the smell awesome it really does feel nice.  I got the scent of grapefruit.  And it makes my razor just slide across my body with ease.  Then I also tried it to rinse out my daughters hair as a detangler and she told me that she loved the way it smelled but it also did work great as a detangler.

I am a believer of the scent of pheromones and they have several skin treatments and body sprays containing them.  Oh, and the spray that you spray on your sheets make your bed feel like a bed of satin.  That is also a must try.

So you really should head on over to her website and give her a try to spice up your relationship.  I am positive you will find something that you will like.  And if you have any questions about ANY of the products then give her a shout out.  She can also give some great suggestions on things that might interest you.

Friday Confessional

  • No matter how hard I try it seems I can never get ahead.
  • There is always cleaning and laundry to be done around my house.
  • Although I love my pets, there are times that I don't want them in my house anymore.
  • I am tired of being the only one who cleans up after them.
  • And don't get me started on the pet hair on my hardwood floors.  It's horrible!
  • Why do law enforcement employees think that they can get away with anything?
  • It really bothers me that they can hide behind a shield and that their peers will help cover things up for them.  Or that they get special treatment.
  • I really wish I had the money to buy myself some things and spoil myself.  I really feel that I deserve it.

Here is a picture of my daughter out on the boat last night.  I just think that she is too stinkin' cute.  She is starting to look so grown up.  She has the grown up attitude to match too!

Before and After

This picture was taken on a recent camping trip.  She looks too good for a camper!

Thursday 5

Happiness
Glee
Exuberant
Proud
Giddy

I know this may sound a bit weird but it really makes me happy that for the entire week so far I have managed to keep my kitchen clean.  I mean my counter tops and table.  That was a huge task all in itself for me this week.

This week for dinner I made something completely different and new.  Which you can find the recipe for right after this blog post.  But it was really yummy and the kids even had no problem giving it a try.

I am so super excited that my computer laptop is fixed.  I am bummed that I lost everything on it because we had to wipe it clean but I am so excited that it did wipe clean so I didn't just completely lose a laptop.

I am super proud that my son got up on the wakeboard for his very first attempt.  The instructor at the wakeboarding class must have done one excellent job.  But the expression on his face was great once he got up.  You could see how proud he was of himself even.

I had such a great time at my friends all adult birthday party this past weekend.  It was nice to get away and be able to be entertained by other adults and have some no kid time.  But of course, I always have a great time when I am around my friends.

Bacon-Chicken Crescent Ring

Ingredients
2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 can (10 ounces) chunk white chicken, drained and flaked
1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup finely chopped sweet red pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Italian salad dressing mix
Directions
Grease a 14-in. pizza pan. Unroll crescent roll dough; separate into 16 triangles. Place wide end of one triangle 3 in. from edge of prepared pan with point overhanging edge of pan. Repeat with remaining triangles along outer edge of pan, overlapping the wide ends (dough will look like a sun when complete). Lightly press wide ends together.

In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Spoon over wide ends of dough. Fold points of triangles over filling and tuck under wide ends (filling will be visible). Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Yield: 8 servings

I didn't have the red pepper so had to skip it so that's why you don't see the color in my photos.

This recipe is from http://www.tasteofhome.com/.  The photos are from The Photographed Past.

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream

“Without ice cream life and fame are meaningless”

Shout out

I just wanted to send a special shout out to my buddy Steve-o.  It is his birthday today and he just turned the big 4-0!  I had a blast celebrating at his party over the weekend.  Even though the party was on his wife's bday!  But I didn't forget about my BFF and we got her a great childhood gift.  Her favorite Little Kings.

Another weekend adventure

Indiana here we come again.  It seems as if this past month we should have just rented a hotel room somewhere and stayed since we've been traveling back and forth so much.  I've enjoyed every minute of it but it does get exhausting always having to pack and unpack and travel the 5 hours.

This weekend we are going to visit the guy above for his big 40th birthday!  He is looking pretty old there and that pic was taken last weekend so he hasn't even hit the 40 mark yet! lol!  I am looking forward to celebrating with everyone especially since children aren't invited to the party!!!!

Now I better get busy and get everything ready for my weekend.  There is always so much to do to plan for a trip away from home even if I am leaving the kids behind!!!!!!

I Think I Can Fly

My son had a great time jumping off a cliff for the very first time.  It took him a long time at the bottom to think about it.  I told him once he climbed up there was only one way down.  He stood at the top for a few minutes.  He had Daddy jump first so he could wait for him at the bottom.  Then he took a big leap off the cliff and gave Daddy a high five.  When he swam back across to me he said he felt like he was flying.  We are so proud of him for taking the plunge.  He didn't give up!

Pro ready?

Here are some stills from the video that I really liked:

At least he had time to plug his nose! lol!  And the look of concentration on their faces is so great.  They are just learning how to ski and having a blast with it.  The youngest already wants to go pro!

Sweet Shot Day

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1.)  Will school ever start back up again?  I think that the days are lasting longer and longer.  Sometimes I wonder if summer last too long! lol!

2.)  Will my husband ever understand me?  You would think that he would have gotten it by now and yet there is still no compassion in even trying to understand.  I think he is pretty easy to figure out.

3.)  I find it really rather interesting that some people can't face the truth and the consequences.  If you know that you have done wrong then why not come out and admit it and take your punishment.  Is it really fun to hide your whole life.

4.)  I went to my high school reunion a few weeks ago and had a blast spending time with my best friend.   It felt like when we were together no time has passed and we talked every day.
