Wordless Wednesday

The end result with the kids tye dye shirts they made last week.  Chandler didn't make it in the picture.  My husband and I decided to make some shirts too so now we all have matching shirts.  Well, they aren't matching since you never know what you get when you make a tye dye shirt!

Top Two Tuesday

 Top 2 Random Facts About Yourself  1) I can't stand to go to bed without pants on.  I don't care if it is summer time.  I don't like the feel of my legs when they are pressed together when I sleep.  It's weird I know but I can't help it. 2) I do not like white toothpaste.  For some reason it drives me nuts.  It seems easier with the kids having it so that the sink doesn't have tons of colorful marks in it when they don't rinse but I don't like the taste.    

Spring is here!

It's spring break and I can't wait to spend it with family and friends.  We are going to have such a great time.  I am ready to sleep in and not have to worry about the hussle and bussle of getting the kids to school.  Driving to the school three times a day gets exhausting after a while.  I just don't want the kids to walk a mile to school each way.  But I guess that's what you get when you live out in Egypt. lol!  Now they are wanting to ride their bikes to school since the weather is getting nice.

1 - Why did you start blogging?

To be able to stay in touch with family, to keep them updated with how much the kids have grown.


2 - Who's the one blog friend that you would want to meet most in "real life"?
I'm really not sure.  I haven't really bonded with one person the most.


3 - Why are you always concerned with losing that "extra 10 pounds" when chances are your husband/boyfriend/friends tell you that you look just fine the way you are?
I want to do it for me.  However, I have just lost some weight and I love it.  But I am happy with who I am and how I look.


4 - What's the one thing you wish guys could understand about you?
I don't think that anyone will understand me.  That is the mystery of me!


5 - Tattoos. How many do you have and how many are visible when you wear your "everyday" clothes?
Well, I guess it depends if it is winter or summer.  I have quite a number of tattooes and I love them.  I want more.  Everyone has something and that is mine.  Sure some people don't like it and they judge but I don't like judgemental people.

6 - What was the best year of your life and why?
The best year of my life was last year when my ex husband gave up my kids for adoption for my husband to adopt.  It was a long hard battle and well worth it too.  Our boys are so much better off now.  We are a complete family again!


7 - Name three things you would do if you were a man for one day.
1) See how hard it really is to pick up a chick! lol!  2) Try to pee  3) Enjoy being catered too! lol!
8 - What's your alcoholic drink of choice that usually raises a few eyebrows?
I don't drink.  So any drink that I may have raises some eyebrows!

1. Did you pass your driver's test on the first try?

Yes, I did!  I even passed my motorcyle test the first time. 




2. What is your most embarrassing moment?
That's a hard question to answer on the spot.  I know I have some but can't think of them right now.




3. What TV show would you like to be on- Oprah, Biggest Loser, or What Not to Wear?
What Not to Wear would be a lot of fun.  I love to try on new clothes and try on different syles.  However, being on Oprah would be a blast so I could tell my story of getting my children back and having my husband adopting them. 




4. Would you ever get plastic surgery and what kind?
Yes, I would get plastic surgery.  But I'm not telling you what!  lol!  I do want Botox in my jaw to help my TMJ.




5. What are your favorite jeans to wear?
Well, I just got some new jeans because I lost weight!  So those are my favorites because they are smaller!

Wordless Wednesday

Okay, so it's not so wordless but I will keep it short! Brianna made her a bunny mask at school.  I thought she looked too cute just sitting on the couch watching tv in it.

She just looks so cute.  Can you see the rabbits carrot?

When I was at the store this morning I bought a tye dye kit.  So the boys got home from school and we started working on those tshirts.  This Friday is spirit day at school and they are to wear them.  I thought it would be more fun to make them then to just buy them already made.

Each shirt had a different pattern.

It was a blast.  Can't wait to see how they turned out.  We aren't opening them up until the morning.

I love spending time with the kids when we are doing activities.  There are so many smiles and giggles in the room!

It's spring time!

To celebrate the new season we busted out the family grill.  We have lots of dinners served from this grill. 

I personally enjoy grill time because that is less kitchen time for me.  My husband find a way to cook everything on the grill when the weather is nice.

We had lots to celebrate this weekend.  The adoption papers finally came through.  My husband is officially the father to our two little boys.  Now we have to go through all of the work to have their birth certificates changed.  That is going to take a bit of work.  The whole legal process is almost over.  However, now comes the fun part of seeing things come to an end.  This is going to be a great year.  Now we can all look forward to the future as a family.  I can't wait!  Cooking on the grill is just part of the memories that we will have together.

2. What part of your body do you neglect the most? feet

3. Beach house or Lake house? tough one.  I love the beach way more then a lake however, a lake house seems like it would be much more private and would be nice to have boating visitors.

4. Mac or PC? I wish a Mac but unfortunately a PC

5. Did you wear braces? Yep, for several years.

6. If you could be one person for a day..living or deceased..who would you be? I've never really wanted to be anyone but myself. 

7. How many times have you moved in your life? Too many to count.  And I HATE moving. 

8. Would you rather cook or clean? I would cook.  I don't like to clean after cooking either!  Once everything is clean I don't mind keeping up but I hate the initial cleaning part.

Happy St. Patty's Day

The kids only had a half day of school today and it is absolutely gorgeous outside.  So we decided to walk around the neighborhood.  I just can't wait until everything starts turning green.  I can't wait to see what living in the woods looks like when I can see leaves on all of the trees.

I am so ready for the warm weather. 

It is going to be a great spring/summer living here with the kids.  We are going to find so many things to do without ever getting into the car.

It's so much fun to look at things from a child's eye. 

Sometimes I'd love to be a kid again.  No worries or bills.  Just fun, school and love from mom and dad.  Life is so much better with a family!

Seventeen high school students took part in live radio and TV competitionsfrom 10 a.m. to noon on Monday. Previously, 21 other non-live competitions were held to select winners in categories such as sportscasting, production, writing and interviewing. True Beauty

I just love girl time!  When I hear, "Mommy, Can I play in your make-up".  I just love saying yes.  She said she was mad because it didn't come out like Lady GaGa's make-up!  She watched a video on youtube on how to put it on like her.  Then today we also polished her nails.  But she wanted to do her own toes. 

Beauty only gets attention... personality captures the heart!

I enjoy spending my days with my daughter.  It is so much fun watching her grow up into a beautiful little girl.  Of course, her brothers tease her when she does her make-up but one day they will see the beauty in it.  The rule is that she isn't allowed to date her brothers friends!  And they agree! :)

My Conversation with God

Every once in a while you need to just sit down and have a conversation with God.  He is always there to talk to.  He is always willing to listen.  With the snow on the ground, I could feel the warm sun on my face.   It is amazing how sometimes you can talk to yourself and even answer yourself but who do you think is actually listening?  So pull up a chair, sit down, and have a conversation with God.  Day or night He is always listening.

Don't tell God how big your problems are: tell you problems how big your God is !

Reflections

I haven't been blogging lately and I think that is because I am finally happy in life.  No things aren't perfect as I don't think they ever can be.  But they can be close to perfect and that is where I am at.  Life can be very entertaining at times and you never know what is around the corner but I am ready for it all.  I can already predict that this is going to be a brilliant month!  If I were going to reflect back on my life over the past few years I wouldn't have changed a thing.  I've learned a lot and who I can depend on and who I can't.  I've learned that I will fight for what I believe in and with God's help I never gave up and in the end won.  So I am more then ready for the next few years. 

Strong people make just as many mistakes as weak ones do... but the difference is this. The strong ones admit their mistakes, laugh about it and learn from it.
