Texture

This is my entry for http://www.iheartfaces.com/.  It is all about texture.  This was my very first attempt at doing a photo with texture.  It took me a while to get th hang of it.  And I know that I have a ways to go but I think I did a pretty good job for my first try.  This is something I am going to have to try again with some different types of photos. 

So I'd love to hear your constructive criticism on this photo.  That's the only way that I will learn.

Their big moments!!!

Here is a few amazing moments of Chandler's basketball game.  He was awesome.  We are very proud of him.  And then there are a few moments of Brianna's first time ever cheerleading.  Which she did an incredible job as well.  I am so glad that they finally got the opportunity to play a sport after so long of not being able to.  I will still never understand why a person would deny a child the right to play a sport.  It is great excercise and gives a child encouragement and a great way to interact with other kids.  But we are so proud of them.  Next week I will be able to record Cameron, my little mans game.  Cameron said he wants to take Karate so he can protect his family from stalkers.  I just love that boy.

Soulmates for life

This has got to be one of my favorite photos of the two of us.  This was another great family day that we had.  The weather was so nice we spent the day outside.  But I can see the love between two people in this photo.  The things that we have been through over the past two years makes you think that we'd be at each others throats but we are stronger today for it.  We didn't seperate or have nervous breakdowns as some do in life we kept it together for our children.  We are a family that fights for one another.  No one will be able to break us down.  I love my husband he is my soulmate for life.

Mommy's Fancy Hair

We had a great day in the bedroom.  All the kids were sitting on the bed while Daddy and I were hanging out with them.  Daddy and Chandler were laying down and Cameron was on the computer.  So Brianna decided to do Mommy's hair.  It looks so beautiful.  She was very happy with the end result.  The back of it looks just as great as the front of it.  Honestly, I could sit there for hours and let her do it.  It feels so good.  I am always worried when she does it though because it brings me back to a time when she was just a few years old and she was doing Mommy's hair and I didn't know that she had sissors in her hand and cut my hair!  When I was shocked to see my hair start falling in my lap!  So now I am always keeping my eye out for what she is working with. 

I just love family time!  We all deserve these happy times!

We are family

We are Kung Foo Fighting!  We are a family that knows how to have a great time.  We enjoy making fun of one another all in good spirit.  It is something that we have been doing for many years!  We comfort one another and support one another.  That is what family is all about.  Who needs traditional poses when in this photo you can see TONS of personality and a family having fun.  No, it may not be the best photo in the world but it sure does show love and fun of family.  It's all about having fun in life!

These girls are too funny.  When I look at this picture I completely see their mothers!  I had asked them to smile while they were sliding down the stairs and they both at the same time turned around to show me their booty and smiled.  We have our hands full with these little girls when they get older.  I know that they show their attitudes now!  I mean we already fight about what they want to wear to school. 

I am excited about how I have kept faithful to doing my 365 page.  Some days it has been hard but I am getting it done.

My little all star

My little man had a lot of fun at basketball practice tonight.  My princess had cheerleading tonight but those classes are closed to parents so I can't take any pictures until game day.  But she practices her cheers during her brothers practice.  They are getting so big.  It amazes me how well adjusted they are.  All my kids are on the honor roll again this grading period and in sports.  So they are all american kids.  I am so proud of them.  They have been through so much that a child should experience and yet right now they just love their lives.  Life is good and only getting better. 

Basketball

The boys weren't allowed to play basketball last year when they weren't living with me.  So this year they are.  It is very important to keep a child busy and in after school activities to stay in shape and to learn new sports.  I will never understand why they couldn't play before.  One of the boys teachers ran me down in their school gym to tell me about how they didn't get to play last year and how they were upset and talked about it with her and she wanted to let me know so that they could play this year.  They are having a blast doing it too.  Tomorrow I can take pictures of my little man playing.  Tonight he had to sit on the bleachers and watch/sleep.  I am so proud of them and how well they are doing.  I guess growing up with a basketball goal in front of our house helped.

Happy Birthday to iheartfaces

This is one of my favorite pictures from December.  She has such a beautiful smile that is all natural.  What you can't tell in the photo is that she is 9 months pregnant and is so extremely happy.  Which truly shines through.  When I see this photo it brings a smile to my face.

My sleeping boys

"People who snore always fall asleep first."

This was such a sweet sight to see this afternoon.  What a hard day at play.  My son curled up to take a nap with Daddy and the dog.  Now those are the special moments in life that are meant to hold onto. 

Snake in the grass

"You've got to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you've got, and remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget. Learn from mistakes but never regret."

I don't have many regrets in life.  I have learned from most of my mistakes.  But I have also learned that in most cases there is always a snake in the grass.  Be careful who you trust because even the people you at one time trusted have their own agenda's. 

She is just so darn cute

My daughter just loves to go into the bathroom with no one is paying attention and play in mommy's make up.  She actually does a really good job too.  This time she wanted to be a spy and camo her face to hide.  I thought she looked more like a kitty cat but she swears she is a spy guy.  I tell you what this little girl is going to be a knock out when she gets older.  But don't cross her the wrong way because she knows how to defend herself having big brothers shes had to learn that.

I just love the innocence of a baby.  They are such sleeping beauties.  I want to give them tons of kisses and smell their hair.  I would have another child if I could but the hubster says 3 is enough.  But that doesn't mean that I can't take lots of pictures of baby's!  So I plan on taking advantage of that.

It made me smile

When I saw this picture it brought a smile to my face. It's a dog with my kind of attitude. I just love how a photograph can effect your mood just like music or a smell. To me a photograph can bring back a memory and make me feel as if I am there. Some make me laugh and wish I was there. Sometimes a photo just says it all and no words are even needed.

Family Time

Every holiday season the kids and I make white chocolate covered pretzels. We all gather around and dip the pretzels in the bowl and lay them out. It is something that is easy and that we can all do as a family. The kids love helping me in the kitchen. My little man asked me this year, "Why don't we make these for every holiday?" These are so good to snack on I don't blame him. I know there were quite a few pretzels that didn't make it to dry because they were eaten right away with the warm chocolate.

2009 was fine but I win in 2010

I had a great time bringing in the new year with excellent friends. I am so glad that I got to ring in the new year with my children. It was so much better then sitting alone with a loved one. Sharing the evening with LOTS of loved ones is so much more special. You can be alone anytime but having an evening to remember with family and friends is a night to remember.

Jana, you always said that 2009 was my year. And you were so right! But 2010 is when I officially win! I have it all now. I have nothing to look back and say I wish I didn't do that or made a different decision. Because I am officially blessed with all of the riches in the world. I made sacrafices for it all but in the end I didn't lose a thing! Thanks for all of the support!
