Yippie!

ShutterLoveTopTen
I am so excited I came in 9th place again for the 3rd time.  Isn't that funny?  I thought that this time I might not make it because there were a lot of great looking photos with this entry.  I can't wait to try again next week!  I have such a great passion for photography.  Now my son has the same passion so we love to go take pictures together.

We have fun working together when we do take pictures.

We just bought this couch and it seems that the cats love it.  The dog does too.  I keep pushing them off but they keep getting on it.  UGH!  When will they listen?  I am tired of the pet hair on the couch!  It just sticks to it.

Mommy Dearest

This is how I feel most days.  I feel like Mommy Dearest.  I think that my kids wouldn't know what to do if I didn't yell at them on a daily basis.  I mean our pattern has already been set.  I have to yell every morning to get their shoes and socks on for school.  I have to yell at them every day when I pick them up from school because they are always fighting.  Yes, I will admit that sometimes the curse words come flying out.  The funny thing is that when they do then my kids know that I am really serious.  Can't they just understand that I am serious when I start to yell?  Why can't they just get it?  At times they do get out of control at a store and I have no problem yelling at them in public either.  I don't care if people stare.  They really need to mind their own business.  These are my kids and I will handle them as I see fit.  So half the time anymore I just don't take them anywhere at all and they are learned that they never go and they want to so they start to behave in public.  I would love a day of peace and quiet with no yelling.  But I don't think that day can happen as a parent.  Unless, of course, our children aren't home!

Are your kids good?  Do you have to yell as much as I do?  I'd love to go a day with no headache!

Friday Confessions

I confess:
*That I am having fun with my blog lately.
*My kids drive me nuts and I don't understand why they enjoy listening to me yell.
*I think that my large boobs are keeping me from looking skinny.
*I hate doing the dishes and I secretly pray every day that my hubby will do them for me.
*I actually enjoy watching cartoons.
*That I am jealous of my husband because he still has his motorcycle and I had to sell mine.
*I think it is great that Sandra Bullock adopted a baby but don't think it is fair that just because she is famous and has money that they allowed her to do it on her own when there are TONS of couples out there who want to adopt and aren't given the chance.

Before & After

I carry a gun

PEOPLE ASK WHY? Why I Carry a Gun
My old grandpa said to me 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and
usually it's when he becomes too old to take an ass whoopin.'I don't carry a gun to kill people.
I carry a gun to keep from being killed.I don't carry a gun to scare people.
I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.
I don't carry a gun because I'm evil.
I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.
I don't carry a gun because I hate the government.
I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government..
I don't carry a gun because I'm angry.
I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.
I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
I don't carry a gun because I'm a cowboy.
I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.
I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man.
I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don't carry a gun because I love it.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
Police protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin'.....author unknown (but obviously brilliant)

What fun!

Rant and Rave Wednesday

Rant: I am getting sick and tired of dog and cat hair all over my house! Shedding time need to be over with!!

Rave: I am so excited for the warmer weather to start and get here for good!

Rant: Some jealous people REALLY need to get over themselves. Jealousy really makes a person look ugly.

Rave: I am so in love with my family. We will always stand strong!

Banana Sushi

Difficulty: Easy

Things You'll Need:

Banana
Peanut Butter
Bread
Knife
Rolling Pin

Step1
Take two slices of bread (whole wheat, whole grain, white) and remove the crusts completely.
Step2
Take the two slices of bread and overlap them slightly. While overlapped, take a rolling pin and roll the bread slices flat. This will also connect the two slices of bread at the point of overlap.

Step3
Take the peanut butter and spread a layer (thickness to your liking)evenly over the flattened slices of bread. Be sure that the bread is covered completely.

Step4
Take a medium sized ripe banana and remove the peel completely. Lay the banana on the bread. Be sure the banana is placed at one end of the bread so that you can roll it up.

Step5
With your knife, slice "sushi" sized pieces(about 1 inch thick) and arrange on a plate. You are now ready to enjoy your sushi!

Tips & Warnings

Creamy peanut butter works bestIf the banana is curved, straighten it slightly with your hands so that it rolls well in the bread.Use whole grain or whole wheat bread for optimum nutritional value.

Recipe came from here.  If you want to see more.
This is a great, fun thing for kids to do as well.  And a healthy snack.

Top Two Tuesday

Favorite things about summer:

1)  No school.  I don't have to worry about getting the kids to school and getting up in the morning.  School days are so hectic here.
2)  Baking in the sun.  I know it is wrong and bad for my skin but I just can't help it.  I think I get it from my mother.  I can't get dark enough in the summer!  I just love to lay by the pool.

Here I am with all three of my kids.  They had a great birthday party for me at home.  I am truly blessed to have each and everyone of them.
I don't get in many of pictures with the family.  I guess it's because my husband doesn't like to pick up the camera and grab a few photos of us.  But I do have a few out there!  And each one brings back great memories!

Friday Confessions

I confess:

* That I do clean my house on a daily basis and it never looks like I touch it.  Sometimes it makes me want  cry.
* I love my pets but I am getting so sick and tired of seeing pet hair all over my house that I want to get rid of them.  I swear I'm the only one who takes care of them anyways.
* I hate seeing people that seem to have it made financially.  Life can just seem so unfair for those who are struggling to make ends meet and then you see someone drive by in their hummer or benz.  I realize they work hard to but good things should come to those who aren't as fortunate.  Like the government should supply one free vacation a year for those families.
* At times I wish I were single and had no children.  Then I could take time to do things for myself!

First trip to the dentist

She is just cracking me up.  She is trying to smile and it's just not working.  She can't drink through a cup without a straw.  Her first trip to the dentist to get a cavity filled.  She has had her teeth cleaned plenty of times but this is her first big experience!  Oh, the joys of parenting and all of the bills that come with it.

Pour Your Heart Out

I am having such a confusing week.  I had my first job interview in years and I felt it went good but you never know.  I don't really want to go back to work yet.  I feel like I have so much to do in getting help for my son that it is just going to take up my time and that is what is important to me.  It's important for me to work because we need the extra money and at the same time it is so important that I help my son.  He has ADHD and has violent outburst.  In all honesty I don't think my husband handles it the way that he should because he just doesn't understand how his brain functions.  Life has been hard dealing with him and even in the moments of wanting to give up I know that I never could.

Wordless Wednesday

You know you are a mom...

You know you are a mom when you get to go birthday shopping for yourself with your own mother and you end up picking out more stuff for your kids then you do for yourself.  I some how have forgotten how to shop for myself.  I guess I don't know how some people are selfish enough to go shopping for themselves and not their kids.

Happy Birthday to Me

Today I had such a great day.  I woke up to a present from the family and then spent the day shopping with my mother and daughter.  My husband came home from work and took me out to my favorite restaurant.  When I came home from dinner my kids threw confettii at me and we had a birthday party with cake and ice cream.  Then opened a few more presents from the kids.  So it was a great day.  I sure wish I could do it all again tomorrow but it was a exhausting day.  I don't know if I could do it again!!!

What am I thinking of course I could!!!

Getting to know you Sunday

1. Mens chests..hairy or hairless?

I am going with hairless.  I don't even like the tiny little patches that men have in the middle of their chest.  I don't like a mouth full of hair in my mouth when kissing my husbands chest.
2. How often do you run red lights?
Not often at all.  I don't want a ticket at all.  Can't afford those things.
3. If you could raid any celebrity's closet..whose would you raid?
I am going with Pink.  I bet there are some fun funky things going on in that closet.
4. Would you rather have more followers/friends on Facebook, Twitter, or your Blog?
My blog.  I get more personal on my blog and enjoying hearing the comments.  For me it's not about how  many followers I have but the comment love that I get.
5. What makes you feel sexy?
When I have my hair done and make up done and am wearing anything that fits.  When clothes fit properly it feels good.
6. I get excited when...........?
I get to go out to eat.  I love being waited on and not having to do dishes.
7. Are you the "outdoorsy" type or more "indoorsy"?
I am going with indoorsy.  However, I love going camping and boating and riding motorcycles which is all outdoors.
8. Would you rather have your dream home or a million dollars?
I would choose my dream home as long as it was completely paid for and no taxes needed to be paid or the utilities were due.

I just love my yard.

I said I couldn't wait until summer got here so I could see my new house with all of the green leaves and flowers and it is just as beautiful as I imagined.
