Hands On

I don't have tiny baby hands around the house anymore and I wanted to submit something that was creative with hands so this is what I came up with.  Hands can speak many languages and hopefully you use them in a loving way as a touch to the face or a gentle loving hug. Children can learn a lot from hands such as how to hit or having them tied up with bandanas and these are not appropriate.

Go check out more "hands on" photos at http://www.iheartfaces.com/

Holding hands is usually considered a romantic gesture. But in the right situation, it can mean so much more.

Better late then never

I took the kids sledding after school  earlier this week and brought my camera.  They had such a great time.  The last few times that they have gone I stayed home.  I don't really care to get in the cold.  I just had to share one of my favorite shots of the afternoon.  Those smiles aren't made up that's for sure.  There's no faking there!  They are having a blast.  Doing what kids do best and that is having some old fashion fun.

You have to let go of the drama and the people who create it, surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Life is too short to be anything but happy.

Cameron Playing Basketball

Reactions:
It's been a while since I've had a chance to upload this video but I finally got it done.  I don't think that basketball is his sport unless he has the ball! lol!  He gets bored too easily with it.  Right now he wants to learn martial arts.  There is a Japanese martial arts studio near by and I think we are going to try to sign him up.  He absolutely LOVES school now.  It is so nice to have him going to a good school and have him enjoy it.  He deserves this.  He has been through so much in his little life that he shouldn't have had to suffer that it pleasures me to see him have a great time in life.  When Chris comes home from work he yells, "DADDY" and is always giving him hugs.  It is just really nice to have erased what seemed to be a forever time of our lives and get back to normal.

Just Dance

Reactions:

The kids have already made such good friends.  We still have boxes to unpack and Chandler had a friend sleep over.  He brought over a dance Wii game and the kids just loved it.  They looked too cute dancing away in the family room.  It was a really fun game.  I'd love to get it for the kids.  I really enjoyed myself watching them laugh and play.  Cameron went to a friends house yesterday and he asked his friend if his little sister could come.  He did that all on his own.  So she ended up playing with his friends sister and she painted her nails.  I think they love it here.

A house with a view

This is one of the many reasons that I love our new house so much.  I can sit on my sofa and stare out my window to see 4 deers just hanging out.  The tracks in the yard show that they come right up to the window but this time I was lucky go catch them just walking around.  It's amazing all of the things that I can take pictures of without ever leaving my yard.  I am really looking forward to summer so that I can see the trees with leaves.  Life here is amazing.  I thank God every day for moving here.  However, I still miss my friends back home.

The kids are LOVING our neighborhood.  They love being able to go sledding down huge hills and playing with friends.  As they walked out of the house to go sledding Brianna looked up at her big brothers and said, "Will you hold my hands?"  It was the sweetest thing.  To me this moment was priceless so I had to go grab my camera.
Chandler has gained 17 pounds since living with us.  It is amazing what being happy will do to you.  His shoe size is enormous and he says that he gets his height and shoe size from his older brother.  Cameron is only 3 inches shorter then Chandler now.  So he is catching up with him in height.  He wants to start taking martial arts to protect his family.  Brianna has started to figure out how to get the boys to do what she wants.  Just like a princess.  But she only learned it from the best!

We will always be Colts fans!  We will miss celebrating with our family this year.  But I guess this year we are going to be watching the game as our own little family.  The boys are excited to watch the game.   We have all of our chips and dip ready for the big moment.  Chandler has made signs to hang in our window and Cameron has his seat all picked out next to Daddy.  Whether the Colts win or lose we will have a great night tonight!  That's what you get with family!

Family fun

It is so much fun that we get to go have some family fun.  We love these times.  Daddy gets to walk in the door from work and Cameron and Brianna come running and say "Daddy", Chandler always walks because he is too cool right now! lol! I then start making dinner for us all.  I've decided that after dinner Daddy gets to do the dishes.  So what he has done is taught the kids to put their own dishes in the dishwasher to make his job easier!
However, tonight was pay day and Daddy decided to take us all out for some chicken wings.  We probably shouldn't have spent the extra money but it was nice to be waited on this evening.
